晶体管放大电路中,偏置电路的作用是为了稳定晶体管的工作点的,使之工作在线性放大区,从而被放大的信号不失真。偏置电流Ib的存在,使信号的负半周顺利的通过,若无ib,则信号的负半周波就会被滤掉(似二极管整流)。另外,放大的信号是在晶体管的C极,而不在B 极。
