The advantages and disadvantages of cars
Following the policy of reform and opening to the outside world, Chinahas become richer and richer. The Chinese people’s living standard is much higher than before. Nowadays also most every family household has a car. This has made it easy for people to travel from one place to another. Formerly people used to travel by bike which was tiresome and cost time waste. With cars people can travel faster. It will save a lot of time. Today as people often say time means money. People can enjoy their life with their cars. Furthermore, with the development of car industry, a large amount of funds has been accumulated. With the accumulated funds we can develop other economic fields. Car industry is the leading factor to stimulate the Chinese economy. China’s GDP ranks the second in the world now, which is attributed greatly to the development of the car industry. However more cars on the road have caused the traffic problems. Traffic jams often happen in the rush hours. And the car exhausts cause heavy air pollution, which damages the people’s health. The problems of traffic jams and car exhausts should be tackled with seriously. All cars that discharge heavy smokes should be prohibited from running on the road. And in the rush hours some cars with the trucks or lorries in particular should be banned from running. What is more, we should develop more public communication facilities rather than individual cars.
